Summary

Outdated electrical panels can quickly become a safety concern, especially when a home is ready for more power. We were called in to upgrade an older 100-amp setup to a 200-amp main breaker panel. This change was needed to support increased electrical demand and to bring the system up to current code.

The Work

Removed the old meter can and 100-amp panel
Installed a new 200-amp PNM rated meter, 200-amp main breaker panel, and breakers
Ran a new line for cold water bonding
Addressed inspection corrections, including proper connectors, bonding bushings, correct breaker sizing, and ensuring the panel was mounted with the required air gap and backing

The Outcome

The upgraded service now supplies more power for the home and meets current safety standards. All corrections from inspection were handled, setting up the electrical system for reliable performance and future needs.
