Summary

A homeowner in Albuquerque wanted to upgrade their garage with a dedicated EV charger. This project called for careful planning to ensure the new system would handle charging demands safely and efficiently.

The Work

Installed a standard EV charger with proper permits
Ran new EMT conduit and wiring to support the charger load
Upgraded the panel with a 60 amp two-pole breaker and additional tandem breakers
Secured all connections and mounted equipment for easy access and long-term reliability

The Outcome

Now the client has a safe, high-capacity charging setup ready for their electric vehicle. The installation blends neatly into the garage and meets current electrical standards. Anyone thinking of adding an EV charger can see what’s involved in doing it right.
